We are two days away from our vacation, but that doesn’t mean the DIY has stopped! Instead, you will find me planning out my next project, which starts the minute we return! My almost 8-year-old has been begging for me to “makeover” his room and his one request was a brick wall. With his birthday coming up in just under a month, I knew this was the perfect time to pull it all together for him and create the big kid bedroom of his dreams!
While I wanted to give him the brick wall of his dreams, I wasn’t looking forward to the process of adding real brick to the wall. It can be messy, expensive, and very permanent. Instead, I tracked down an amazing product by Ninth and Vine that has the look and feel of real brick but can be attached to the wall with a nail gun or their optional adhesive strips. I showed him the different color options and we quickly fell in love with the Hampton Brick. We both loved the worn look and it will definitely give his room the industrial vibe he is looking for!
The plan is to use the Hampton Brick on his window wall and we will paint the other walls Sherwin Williams 2022 Color of the Year, Evergreen Fog. This dusty shade of green will pair perfectly with the worn look of the brick. We plan to keep his bunk bed/dresser combo and will add bedding by Beddy’s to make mornings easier (for both of us)! His big kid bedroom will be rounded out with leather accents, metal shelving, and a cool ceiling fan that will add to the downtown loft vibe. I can’t wait to get back and get started on this space, but for now, enjoy this mockup and be sure to follow along on Instagram!
